soundhealing

Tamarack is a choir which uses the voice for the purpose of healing.

Tamarack is an 18-voice choir directed by Trisha Pope. They have been performing community rituals with circle dancing, chanting, world music choral performance and healing rituals since 2003. Tamarack's community presentations always integrate the audience so everyone is singing and dancing together.

Tamarack has presented two rituals at Mutandanse in Montreal, honoring feminine energy and a spring ritual called "Planting Seeds of Possibility". They presented at Seva Resource a ritual entitled "Healing the Broken Circle" which addressed the violence at Dawson College in Fall 2006. Tamarack has also presented at the Montreal Gilda Center for those living with cancer, as well as at the Goddard College, at the Vermont's "Crop Circle Conference", at Convocation Hall, at McGill's Dionysan Center and other community benefits and soirées.
