Contact Trisha Pope |
Trisha Pope has a unique career. It combines her love of music and voice with her abilities as an intuitive and a healer. She trained in classical music, played folk and jazz flute, toured as a jazz vocalist with many bands. This included the Montreal Jazz Festival for six years and concert/club venues in British Columbia, Quebec and Ontario. In 1992, she released a jazz CD with Jazz Inspiration of Toronto entitled ‘Trisha Pope’. On a Quebec Arts Council grant, she travelled to India in 1993 to study karnactic singing. She was drawn to the sound of intentional sacred singing. When she returned, she studied music therapy and sound healing work from shamanic and Tibetan Buddhist sources. Trisha began teaching sound healing seminars; one-on-one client work, and conducting community choirs. Her composing and arranging work took on her interest in the healing qualities of sound. In 2004, Trisha released her CD "Song I Learned From Trees- Songs for Coming Home". Trisha continued her training in healing by graduating from a two year program in Clairvoyant Reading with Psychic Horizons of Colorado (affiliated with the Berkeley Psychic Institute) Today, Trisha Pope teaches Sound Healing Techniques Workshops and Clairvoyant Training as a part of the Energy Medicine Program at Institute NHC in Montreal. These courses are also offered at the Sunshine Center ( Le Centre du Soleil) of Sutton, Quebec where she is also directing a community song circle. She is currently working on a book of her work entitled "Awakening Voice: Sound, Intuition and Healing" |
